In July 2020, Zywave, launched Zywave CPQ, integrated quoting and proposal solution for employee benefits brokers. The new offering, included in the business suite of Zywave’s Sales Cloud, supports and simplifies the quoting, renewal and management of employee benefit plans with data-driven insights to help employers better understand their benefit options and make smarter, more strategic decisions.
Zywave CPQ, which stands for Configure, Price, Quote, transforms each step in the quoting and proposal process to be more efficient and effective, with features that help brokers and their clients make more informed plan selections. The all-in-one solution has the potential to double account managers’ productivity by eliminating manual tasks, reducing errors and automating mission-critical workflows.
In October 2019, Zywave launched new features within its flagship product, Broker Briefcase. Enhancements to the sales and marketing platform provide improved functionality for both finding and engaging prospects, helping to accelerate agency growth, as well as incorporate advanced machine learning that continually analyzes system data to surface the most relevant content for users.
Additionally, Zywave launched a new learning management system, Zywave Learning. The mobile-friendly platform enables brokers to offer their clients access to more than 200 courses, including 150 workplace safety and industry-specific options.
Zywave Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In October 2018, Zywave completed the acquisition of Code SixFour, a provider of proposal automation and advanced predictive analytics for employee benefits advisors. As part of the agreement, Code SixFour customers became Zywave customers and Code SixFour products became part of the Zywave product suite.

Zywave Market Opportunities, M&A and Geo Expansions
During 2019, Zywave has been heavily investing in its existing products, while enhancing its product portfolio, filling any capability gaps with new acquisitions.
In December, Zywave acquired miEdge, the premier provider of lead generation, data analytics and prospecting solutions specifically designed for the insurance industry. Together with Zywave’s existing portfolio of applications, the acquisition equips the company with not only the industry’s most robust database offering for prospecting, but also significantly enhances its existing client delivery, analytics and content solutions. Zywave will integrate the miEdge solution into the Sales Cloud offering, as well as leverage the data source internally to greatly enhance functionality within a variety of additional content and analytics solutions. The innovative miEdge offering further advances Zywave’s machine learning capabilities and provides an easy-to-use, intuitive interface for navigating multiple data sources that have been cleansed and combined by proprietary business logic, algorithms, and machine learning to provide unrivaled data intelligence. With the addition of the miEdge solution and its extensive team of data services experts, Zywave will significantly expand its existing data services division. The expanded team will work to further integrate miEdge data into Zywave’s Product Cloud Portfolios.
In June, Zywave acquired RateFactory, an easy-to-use small group rating engine that is directly linked to insurance carrier quoting systems. Together with its existing tools, the acquisition equips Zywave with the industry’s only carrier-direct, multi-line small group quoting system serving brokers. Zywave will incorporate RateFactory’s small group quoting into its product suite, including integration with the Code SixFour Digital Plan Marketing presentation software and within Zywave’s Sales Cloud. The integration will strengthen the product’s position as the industry’s most accurate and efficient small group quoting engine available. The enhanced offering, which provides market representation of available carrier plans across the United States, enables brokers to quickly create fully customized rate proposal presentations for clients.

Zywave appointed Jason Liu as its new chief executive officer. Liu will drive Zywave’s long-term vision and strategy as the company continues to offer innovative software solutions to insurance brokers across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
