Centric Risks and Challenges

Since its founding, Centric has been striving to strike a healthy balance in its markets and activities, aiming to secure continuity for both customers and employees. Diversification enables the company to absorb any negative consequences of risks taken in a specific country or focus area. Centric remains heavily entrenched in the services business and any move to migrate to the Cloud could result in significant changes to its cost structure.

In 2020, Centric IT Solutions GmbH was restructured, with the focus being shifted to the successful core business surrounding SAP HCM. Centric business activities now focus fully on SAP HCM add-on tools. As part of the restructuring, in 2020 the company sold its JDE Oracle business unit to Steltix, with the same company also taking on our Oracle customer projects. Managing Director Steven Wernike has taken on the responsibility of expanding the SAP HCM activities further.

In 2019, several changes were made to the executive and non-executive board, which saw the CEO, CCO, CFO and a non-executive director step down. In early 2020, a new CEO was appointed (officially as of 6 March). As of 1 July 2020, a new CFO and a new non-executive director took office.

Centric HR & Payroll Services has traditionally served mainly public-sector organisations. In 2019, Centric made serious inroads in the non-profit market and will continue to push ahead in this market. To realise the bold growth ambition for Motion, Centric need to gain a foothold in the private sector, which is a relatively new market for Centric.
