Epicor Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators

Epicor has grown to be one of the largest enterprise applications vendors following its 2011 merger with Activant to become a major force in the midmarket ERP space. Its cloud strategy includes providing deployment freedom of choice, allowing clients the opportunity to deploy the same Epicor ERP solution in the cloud or on-premises. In October 2018, Epicor released the latest version of Epicor ERP, Epicor ERP 10.2.300 to expand omnichannel commerce strategy for manufacturers and dealers. The latest version of Epicor ERP (10.2.300) is designed to help manufacturers differentiate their brand to stand out by being the first one that utilizes the Epicor Kinetic Design Framework. With the introduction of the enhanced Home Page developed in the Kinetic framework, customers can create a personal layout and then switch it with another published layout or move from tab to tab for additional views, which support faster, more informed decisions through much greater visibility into their business at just a glance. In May 2017, Epicor released new version of its enterprise resource planning business software, Epicor ERP version 10.1.600. More than 550 customers are live on the new Epicor ERP 10.1 release, which is available in the cloud, hosted, or on-premises. Epicor ERP now provides even greater cloud deployment flexibility with the availability of dedicated tenancy, in addition to multi-tenancy and single tenancy, as well as new and enhanced business functionality out-of-the-box, including new capabilities to support global growth and expansion, business transformation, and efficiencies in mission-critical operations such as quality and compliance. The new release also features fully integrated enterprise content management capabilities from the January 2017 acquisition of DocStar. These new competencies support business transformation initiatives focused on improved customer-centricity, collaboration, efficiency, and expansion to address new market opportunities. In addition, in November 2017, Epicor released a new version of Epicor ERP, 10.2.100. This version was developed with customer experience in mind and will feature a clean and updated home page; a next-generation mobile app for managing CRM; a new field service automation solution; improved financials, including Epicor Payment Gateway, which processes credit cards from multiple vendors; and Epicor Payment Exchange, which is an Epicor payment processing service that processes over a million transactions a day. Epicor also offers Epicor Data Analytics, a leading analytics solution that gives users quicker ROI with pre-built content packs, and Epicor Commerce Connect, which is a cloud-based eCommerce solution for manufacturers and distributors. Also in March 2016, Epicor selected the Microsoft Azure Datacenter in Singapore to support new cloud deployments in Asia -- starting with Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore with plans to extend its cloud-first strategy into China and beyond. Building on that momentum, Epicor announced in August 2016 that they are expanding its global cloud footprint in the Middle East as well. In August 2015, Epicor launched its new India Technology Center in Bengaluru. In April 2019, Epicor launched Epicor Virtual Agent (EVA), a digital agent designed to help users work smarter. Along with cognitive skills such as text and voice, EVA transforms data into visual information creating an intuitive experience to complete actions on native devices. In October 2018, Epicor unveiled the latest versions of its distribution software solutions, Epicor Prophet 21 and Epicor Eclipse. In July 2019, Epicor acquired Majure Data, a leading provider of warehouse management solutions for the lumber and building materials (LBM) industry.
