HiBob Strengths, Domain Expertise, and Key Differentiators
HiBob is on a mission to transform how organizations operate in the modern world of work with its HR platform Bob. Leading the way for the future workplace, Bob offers resilient, agile technology that wraps all the complexities of HR processes into a game-changing, user-friendly tool that touches every employee across the business.
HiBob Recent Developments
In April 2022 HiBob unveiled its 1-on-1 meeting feature, a manager empowerment tool that allows modern, mid-sized, multinational companies to consolidate manager-employee meetings into their Bob HR tech platform. In an age where employee experience is more important than ever, the Bob HR tech platform helps companies foster more meaningful relationships and keep employees satisfied. Through this new feature, teams can keep an open line of communication for a stronger culture based on transparency, openness, and collaboration. The new 1-on-1 feature contains five out-of-the-box meeting templates for onboarding, goal setting, performance review, career growth, and regular check-ins. Other templates can be created and customized or talking points can be added manually to a meeting. This new functionality not only helps employees meet company and career goals but also creates stronger working relationships in a time when communication is key in remote or hybrid workplaces.
HiBob Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In September 2022 HR management platform HiBob acquired the Portuguese company Bugle. Bugle was founded in 2014 and employs around 20 people, who will join HiBob’s team and form the basis of its Lisbon-based, engineering-led operation. The venture is set to create 70 new jobs for tech professionals in the region over time. The cost of the acquisition and the founding of the new R&D center is estimated at around $30 million. HiBob’s expansion in this part of Western Europe also follows the recent opening of a Berlin office to service the DACH region. Entrepreneur and economist João Ferro Rodrigues, who founded and ran Bugle, joins as Managing Director to head up operations.
