Knosys Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Activities
Knosys completed the acquisition of LIBERO. Completion of the acquisition on 31 August 2021 follows the successful satisfaction of conditions precedent and delivery of other completion requirements under the sale agreement. The $5 million acquisition price consisted of $4 million in cash and $1 million in fully paid Knosys shares. The cash component of the LIBERO acquisition, net of cash acquired in the LIBERO business, has been self-funded by Knosys from its cash resources.
LIBERO is a Library Management Software (“LMS”) business that delivers a new digital experience in managing asset collections, employees and interactions with their members for public libraries, tertiary education institutions and other similar organisations. The number of licensed users of the Knosys product increased to 41,360 at the end of the 2020 financial year.
One of the highlights of the 2020 year was the announcement in June of a new substantial professional services contract with ANZ Bank New Zealand for the deployment of a standalone Knowledge IQ system. The nine-month project commenced in June is expected to generate revenue of approximately $0.84 million. Knosys retains a strong core of enterprise customers, which includes ANZ Bank, Optus and Singtel.

Knosys Ecosystem, Partners, Resellers and SI
Knosys has signed a co-selling agreement that will see its new mid-market solution available to Microsoft's Australian channel. Knosys launched KIQ Cloud, a mid-market version of its flagship KnowledgeIQ knowledge management product that has already been adopted by Singtel, Optus and SBS Bank. KIQ cloud aims a little lower by targeting businesses with at least 200 employees.
