Virgin Pulse Recent Developments
In September 2021, in response to the evolving, global COVID-19 regulations Virgin Pulse has released a new Vaccination Management and compliance solution to help organizations around the world meet ever-changing regulations and timelines and ensure the ongoing health and wellbeing of their workforce. Available October 4 as part of Virgin Pulse’s VP PassportTM workplace suite, these new capabilities provide real-time reporting, vaccination and testing status, symptom monitoring, and next steps guidance so organizations can effectively navigate the ever-changing path of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020, Virgin Pulse launched the VP PassportTM, health, safety, and crisis response platform, which is a part of its broader Return-to-Workplace solution. The newly launched app leverages the core components of the company's flagship well-being platform to support organizations in enabling a safe return to the workplace post the COVID-19 crisis.
Virgin Pulse Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) Activities
In November 2021, Virgin Pulse has acquired the consumer activation company Welltok to increase patient engagement and improve health outcomes for members. The companies also aim to decrease costs for their more than 4,000 shared clients through the merge. The acquisition of Welltok will enhance Virgin Pulse’s Homebase for Health experience by creating a new engagement platform for clients, members, and consumers. The platform will leverage more than 1,000 predictive analytics models that will identify individuals with up to 90 percent accuracy who are most likely to respond to outreach methods, the companies said.
In November 2018, Virgin Pulse has acquired Viverae, a leading wellness management company focused on helping organizations improve and simplify health for their employees. Virgin Pulse’s acquisition of Viverae, which recently rebranded as SimplyWell, follows the completion of its merger with RedBrick Health earlier this year and underscores the company’s focus on helping employers solve the costliest and most complex challenges in health and well-being. Together, Virgin Pulse and SimplyWell deliver the technology, live services, partner ecosystem, analytics, personalization, global reach and scale required to engage employees every day and help them achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
In May 2018, Virgin Pulse merged with Minneapolis-based RedBrick Health to create the world’s largest, most comprehensive digital health and engagement company. This combination will deliver the industry’s only fully integrated digital platform, with benefits navigation and live coaching to support global clients and members across the entire health, wellbeing and benefits lifecycle – from screening and assessment to activation, behavior change and the adoption of sustainable, healthy habits.
