Is AI the promised land where companies can drive greater productivity, improve efficiency and most importantly better position themselves in the new era as AI tools are emerging as the guiding force for businesses big and small? That’s for us to find out.
In the meantime, here are some of the use cases that we have been updating in our Buyer Insight Technographic Database. Rest assured that our findings will help validate the fact that AI is not merely a buzzword, but rather a stepping stone for enterprise customers to achieve greater success.
Oracle OCI AI Infrastructure Powers Increasingly Demanding AI Workloads
Cohere, a leading generative AI technology company for enterprises, aims to enhance the relevance, reliability, and trustworthiness of its large language models by improving access to accurate data sources. To achieve this, Cohere has chosen Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for training and deploying its models. OCI offers a comprehensive, end-to-end platform for generative AI with advanced security, top-tier data management, and a broad range of cloud applications. OCI’s cluster GPU delivers high performance and cost-efficiency for AI workloads, while Oracle’s vector database enables superior semantic search without requiring data movement.
Intermedia, a cloud communications company serving over 135,000 businesses, handles 300 to 400 daily chats in 21 languages. To enhance support efficiency, the company adopted OCI Generative AI to summarize hundreds of chat transcripts in minutes. This approach cut costs and allowed support engineers to focus more on resolving customer issues, improving the overall customer experience.
Aon, a leading global professional services firm, boosts customer experience with OCI Language Service. To streamline and centralize its customer service, Aon has adopted Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for efficient data processing and AI-driven insights. This enables Aon to rapidly analyze customer feedback, identify priorities, and track sentiment effectively.
Gemelo’s AI-powered platform creates photorealistic avatars for personalized, multilingual video content and real-time interactions. To support this, Gemelo required robust cloud infrastructure for the high compute and storage needs of generative AI, along with security, compliance, and scalability. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) provided exceptional performance for training Gemelo’s models, enabling real-time avatar rendering. OCI’s cost efficiency and flexible instance shapes also helped optimize resources and lower operational expenses.
Fireworks AI offers a platform for inferring and fine-tuning AI models, enabling firms to confidently deploy essential customer-facing AI applications. The primary challenge was ensuring high performance for an expanding customer base as AI models became more complex. Fireworks AI selected Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for its high-performance AI infrastructure and industry-leading RDMA networking, which delivers microsecond latency. OCI’s Kubernetes Engine was chosen to host, train, and manage their AI models effectively.
DNAnexus leverages its cloud platform and global network to foster scientific collaboration and tackle major challenges in human health. The company chose Oracle for its extensive healthcare and life sciences ecosystem, Oracle Health solutions, and global presence across 69 cloud regions. By utilizing Oracle’s AI Infrastructure, DNAnexus aims to accelerate genomic analyses, enhance AI models, and drive advancements in personalized medicine and healthcare.
Razer, a leading lifestyle brand for gamers, selected Oracle Service and Oracle Digital Assistant for their advanced features, ease of use, scalability, and cost efficiency. Oracle Service will power a new help portal with self-service options, while Oracle Digital Assistant’s AI chatbot will automate common issue resolution and direct users to relevant knowledge articles. This will streamline support, decrease the need for live agents, and cut service costs.
Oracle enhances its employee intranet with OCI Generative AI. MyOracle, the company’s central intranet, sees over five million visits monthly, with MyOracle Search handling more than 500,000 queries. Previously, the search function had a 30% to 40% clickthrough rate due to limitations in traditional search methods. The introduction of Search Generative Experience (SGE) with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture, using OCI Generative AI, has transformed this. Instead of just listing records, the new system provides natural language responses grounded in Oracle’s knowledge base. This improvement boosted clickthrough rates to 70% and received over 75% positive feedback from employees.
Modal Labs provides an infrastructure-as-a-service platform for data, AI, and machine learning, enabling developers to build applications quickly. Recently listed on Wing Venture Capital’s Enterprise Tech 30, Modal required high-performance cloud computing for rapid GPU and container deployment in serverless environments. The company chose OCI AI Infrastructure for its ability to offer fast, reliable access to thousands of high-performance GPUs simultaneously.
