Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute Application Hosting and Computing Services IaaS n/a 2022 2022
In 2022, Sensa Analytics deployed Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute to support its healthcare revenue cycle analytics and application hosting needs. The deployment is categorized as Application Hosting and Computing Services and is anchored by Oracle Autonomous Database services that run both transactional and analytic workloads. Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse was configured as the primary data store, with Oracle APEX used for low-code application development and Oracle Analytics providing embedded visualizations. Oracle Machine Learning in Oracle Database was instrumented to enable model creation directly on production datasets, supporting automated billing reimbursement and code correction workflows. The implementation leverages Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute for application processing and file storage for patient signatures and identity documents. Operational integrations consolidate data feeds from electronic medical records and financial accounting systems into the autonomous database, providing a single source of truth for claims, forecasts, reimbursements, and patient satisfaction metrics. The team built a COVID-19 testing follow up application using Oracle APEX on Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse, achieving rapid development and deployment. Storage and processing are provisioned on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute and Autonomous Database services with HIPAA aligned controls for sensitive patient data. Governance shifted toward developer led application delivery, since the autonomous database reduced the need for traditional database administration and enabled data scientists to operationalize models using Oracle Machine Learning in Oracle Database. Workflows were restructured to embed Oracle Analytics dashboards directly within APEX applications, giving practice managers access to combined views of insurance rates and procedure costs. Onboarding processes for physicians and surgery centers were streamlined by packaging APEX applications and data access controls. Using the integrated Oracle Autonomous Database services and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute, Sensa Analytics created the COVID-19 app in one month compared to the four to five months that Python development would have required. The deployment accelerated reimbursements from two to three months down to two weeks, processed 100,000 claims per day in minutes to automatically correct medical codes, and reduced accounts receivable outstanding by 39 percent. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Compute and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse together form the Application Hosting and Computing Services foundation for Sensa Analytics revenue cycle operations.
