In 2018, PLDT implemented SAP S/4 HANA - Accounts Payables as an AP Automation deployment within a broader SAP S/4HANA 1610 Enterprise Management and Central Finance program. The effort was positioned to centralize financial processing for accounts payable while aligning GL, AR, fixed assets and controlling functions under a unified finance architecture.
Configuration work covered core finance modules, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and CO. Deliverables included chart of accounts design, account groups, field status groups, posting keys and company code assignments, creation of GL master records and reconciliation accounts for sub ledgers, document types and number ranges, invoice and payment processing rules, tolerance groups, automatic account assignment logic, GL display layouts including line item and sort variants, and the financial statement version.
The deployment used Central Finance topology and SAP Landscape Transformation to standardize master and transactional data flows, and included data migration of fixed asset master and transaction data into SAP S/4HANA. The implementation integrated a third party indirect tax engine, Sabrix One source, to support tax determination and reporting, and was exercised across sandbox, development, quality and production environments.
Program governance followed ASAP methodology, with structured business requirements sessions, GAP analysis and documented processes and procedures. Defect resolution was tracked through sandbox, development and quality tiers into production, and the team developed process documentation to support operations and auditability.
Operational scope focused on Finance organizations responsible for GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and tax, with impacts on billing, order to cash and procure to pay workflows. SAP S/4 HANA - Accounts Payables served as the AP Automation layer to centralize invoice processing, control configuration and provide reconciliable transactional data for audit support.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Enterprise Asset Management | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2021 | 2022 |
In 2021, PLDT implemented SAP Enterprise Asset Management to consolidate asset life cycle controls and enhance fixed asset reporting. SAP Enterprise Asset Management, classified in the Enterprise Asset Management category, was provisioned to support asset master management, lifecycle tracking and accounting across PLDT's operations. The implementation targeted business functions spanning operations, maintenance and finance.
The deployment emphasized Enterprise Asset Life Cycle Management and SAP Fixed Asset Reporting modules, configured to align asset master records with financial ledgers. Functional capabilities implemented included asset master data consolidation, maintenance planning and work order management, capital project interfacing and fixed asset accounting workflows consistent with an Enterprise Asset Management solution. Automation was applied to maintenance scheduling and work order orchestration to standardize operational execution.
SAP S/4 HANA served as the platform context for the roll out, with integrations established between SAP Enterprise Asset Management and S/4 HANA financial modules as well as SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting in overlapping projects. Project notes identify concurrent initiatives for SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting and Fixed Asset Reporting, indicating cross-module integration work for transactional posting and reporting continuity. Integration efforts focused on reconciling fixed asset registers with financial posting and capital expenditure flows.
Deloitte consultants were engaged in 2021 to provide project management, SAP S/4 HANA roll out expertise and hypercare support for the Enterprise Asset Life Cycle Management deployment. Governance incorporated phased rollout planning, change control and post-go live hypercare consistent with S/4 HANA enhancement and support projects. The initiative was executed as an enterprise-level Enterprise Asset Management program for PLDT.
