| Workday | Legacy | Workday Financial Management | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2025 | 2026 |
In 2025, Aon implemented Workday Financial Management as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment targeted enterprise finance operations for the professional services firm and aligned Aon’s financial processes onto Workday’s cloud-native SaaS architecture to establish a single ledger and common financial data model. Workday Financial Management was provisioned to centralize transactional and reporting workflows across the organization.
Configuration focused on core financial modules consistent with ERP Financial implementations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and bank management, fixed assets, and financial reporting and consolidation within Workday Financial Management. The implementation used Workday configuration tooling to establish tenant-level security, role-based access controls, a configurable chart of accounts, accounting rule engines, and automation for period close and recurring journal posting workflows.
Operational coverage emphasized corporate finance, accounting, treasury, tax, and financial planning teams, consolidating transactional processing and statutory reporting inside the ERP Financial system. The rollout scoped process orchestration for month-end close, intercompany accounting, and statutory consolidation, and it standardized accounting policies and master data governance across finance functions to reduce process variation.
Governance introduced centralized ownership of financial master data, formal approval workflows for configuration changes, and a release and configuration management cadence to control financial configuration drift. The implementation leverages Workday’s platform reliability, Workday serves more than 11,000 customers globally and its customer community represents more than 75 million users under contract, and more than 90 percent of Workday customer deployments were completed on time in FY25.

MBO Compliant Management in the HR Compliance category was deployed as part of MBO Partners' international capability expansion, and press materials from 2020 list Aon among its international clients.
Deployment emphasized Agent of Record and Employer of Record modules alongside core compliance management capabilities, reflecting MBO's AOR and EOR offerings. Configuration centered on centralized contractor classification controls, compliance tracking for local employment and tax rules, and onboarding and lifecycle workflows for contingent workers, using typical HR Compliance functional workflows such as contractor classification, onboarding, regulatory compliance tracking and contractor lifecycle management.
Operational scope covered HR, contingent workforce management and legal stakeholders across the United Kingdom and Ireland, aligning contractor policies and governance for cross-border engagements. Governance measures included centralized oversight of contractor engagements, standardized compliance checklists and documented audit trails to support ongoing regulatory obligations as part of MBO's capability expansion into those markets.

| InRule | Legacy | InRule Platform | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2021 | 2022 |
In 2021 Aon implemented the InRule Platform to encode, verify, and maintain core decision logic for underwriting and policy workflows, deploying the solution as a Business Process Management capability to improve rule authoring and testing across insurance product lines. The deployment targeted complex rating and underwriting logic rather than broader application modernization, with an emphasis on formalizing decision logic as first class artifacts within the platform.
The implementation used the InRule Platform for rule authoring, automated verification and test execution, and ongoing rule maintenance, enabling actuarial teams to construct and validate complex rating logic directly. Reported implementation outcomes included an actuarial build and test cycle that dropped to approximately 14 hours from a prior range of 120 to 160 hours, and improved rule visibility and maintainability as documented in a 2022 case study.
Aon integrated the InRule Platform with its WinBroker II policy management and underwriting applications, and then expanded usage into the UK Sports Leisure and Entertainment division, extending operational coverage from core underwriting teams into a specialized business unit. The scope centered on policy administration and underwriting business functions, with the InRule Platform providing decision services invoked by existing policy management workflows.
Governance for the deployment emphasized centralized rule repositories, authoring and verification workflows owned by actuarial and underwriting teams, and a maintainability focus to reduce development handoffs. The implementation narrative centers on decision logic lifecycle management using the InRule Platform within Aon's underwriting and policy management environment.
