In 2016, 2468 Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial system to centralize finance operations across the group. The Finance Director led the program while overseeing the finance function for eight entities and managing a migration from four separate accounting systems into a single, consolidated instance.
The Microsoft Dynamics NAV implementation focused on inventory accounting and financial modeling capabilities identified in internal notes, and included configuration of core financial modules such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and multi entity consolidation to support group reporting. Microsoft Dynamics NAV was configured to support centralized chart of accounts structures and standardized financial reporting workflows, aligning with the five year strategic plan driven by finance leadership.
Operational scope included consolidation and integration of two companies into the unified NAV instance, aligning master data and inventory valuation methods across sites. The program combined transactional inventory accounting with financial consolidation processes, enabling unified month end close workflows and consistent accounting treatment across entities.
Governance was led by the Finance Director who also shaped the strategic plan and oversaw implementation governance from 2016 through 2018, embedding standardized finance process controls and consolidation rules. The Finance Director documented and led related initiatives including due diligence, raising bank finance, and cost saving actions such as facilities consolidation and refinancing, while overseeing the Navison ERP implementation as the core ERP Financial platform for the group.
