Workday Absence Management was integrated with Travelers payroll and benefits administration platforms to align leave calculations and benefits records, and it operated within Travelers broader Workday tenant used by HR teams. Operational coverage included ESU centers in Hartford and regional service points supporting employees across the US, Canada, UK and Ireland. The deployment consolidated LOA case handling into a single system of record for absence administration workflows.
Governance centered on the ESU Leave of Absence team with documented workflows for eligibility determination, notice preparation, and confidentiality controls, and specialists were required to apply Workday knowledge and understanding of payroll calculations. Training and role expectations emphasized case response accuracy, record maintenance, and compliance driven notice issuance.
