In 2014, Florida State University implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP to consolidate administrative applications across campus. The Oracle PeopleSoft ERP deployment included ERP Financial capabilities alongside student information and human resources functions, supporting core finance, payroll, student records, and constituent relationship workflows within the university environment.
The implementation included PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2, Financials 9.2, Human Resources 9.2, and CRM 9.1 as the primary application set. Work focused on PeopleSoft Application Upgrades with PeopleSoft Update Manager installation, and the creation of PeopleSoft change packages to deliver critical fixes and targeted functional configuration for financial management and student administration.
Operational support used Splunk monitoring to troubleshoot environments, providing centralized log and event visibility for the PeopleSoft estate. Day to day coverage targeted administrative and academic business functions such as finance, HR, student services, and constituent management, with monitoring and incident triage integrated into ongoing support activities.
Governance centered on an ongoing support team model that managed PeopleSoft PUM based upgrade cycles and the packaging of fixes into controlled change sets. Change management and release processes were formalized around PUM installations and change package promotion to ensure consistent application behavior across PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2, Financials 9.2, Human Resources 9.2, and CRM 9.1.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 Florida State University initiated adoption of Oracle PeopleSoft HCM as part of its Core HR work to standardize human capital management provisioning and PeopleTools levels across the institution. The program used Oracle deployment packages to control environment build and configuration while aligning the HCM application footprint with campus HR operations.
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM was implemented on PeopleTools 8.57 for the HCM 9.2 rollout using DPKs, with a parallel Campus Solutions 9.2 deployment on PeopleTools 8.58 that began later in 2020. The notes also record an FSCM 9.2 project using PeopleTools 8.58 that kicked off and targeted a February and March 2021 go live window, indicating a coordinated multi-application PeopleSoft program across HR, student administration, and finance domains.
The technical approach emphasized DPK driven instance provisioning and explicit PeopleTools version control to reduce configuration drift and simplify patching across HCM and Campus Solutions. Operational coverage included central HR functions and integration readiness for student information and financial management modules, with environment parity between development and production implied by use of standardized deployment packages.
Governance followed a staged rollout schedule, with HCM DPK usage starting in April 2020 and Campus Solutions DPK usage beginning in September 2020, and FSCM progressing through project kickoff toward the planned early 2021 go live. Release sequencing and PeopleTools version management were central to the rollout governance to coordinate parallel projects and maintain consistent operational support across the Core HR landscape.

| Broadcom | Legacy | AppWorx Workload Automation | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Florida State University implemented AppWorx Workload Automation as part of its Business Process Management environment to orchestrate batch operations and cross‑system file transfers across campus administrative systems. The deployment targeted centralized scheduling and workload orchestration to support PeopleSoft driven HR, Finance and Campus Solutions processes as well as adjacent CRM and student services workflows.
The implementation emphasized job scheduling, workload orchestration, and automated file transfer capabilities. AppWorx Workload Automation was used to schedule App Engine jobs and batch processes, coordinate automated data extracts and loads, and manage scripted variable objects and encrypted file handoffs. Development included creation of medium to complex UC4/Automic AE style scripts and variable objects to pass encrypted data files to third party vendors and to trigger downstream PeopleSoft and payroll testing processes.
Integrations were explicit and broad, spanning PeopleSoft HRMS, Financials and Campus Solutions, Concur expense feeds, Cashnet accounts receivable, Paymatch for payroll testing, CRM/OLM for admissions workflows, Identity and Access Management and DUO for authentication flows, and cCure for building access provisioning. Operational coverage included HR, payroll, student records, Graduate Admissions, the University Learning Center, Tutoring Center, Advising Office, and campus security systems, with AppWorx coordinating data extracts, advisor notifications, and vendor file deliveries.
Governance and operational ownership aligned with application and release management practices, where senior developers led PeopleSoft PUM upgrades, TAX updates, bundles and CPU patching, PeopleTools upgrades, and retrofit activities. The team also incorporated Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery participation into scheduling and job orchestration, and established automated batch processes and scheduling rules to support testing, deployment, and routine operations.
