UKG Legacy UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager (ex Kronos Workforce Absence Manager) Absence and Leave Management HCM n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, TJX Companies implemented UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager (ex Kronos Workforce Absence Manager) as its Absence and Leave Management solution. The deployment ran across Workforce Central 6.1 and 8.0 environments and included application servers, Kronos clocks with firmware management, and Windows patching on the Kronos application servers to maintain operational stability. The implementation covered core WFC modules including Time and attendance, absence management, accruals, Pay Policies, Attendance, Leave, eTime, Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service with workflows, Workforce Scheduler, and Workforce Time Keeper. Configuration work included pay rule creation, accrual calculations, basic schedules, security profiles, and setup of Time off Requests for Employee Self Service and for 4500 terminals, with testing and registration of bespoke reports. Integrations were explicitly implemented using Kronos integration tools such as Kronos Connect, Workforce Integration Manager, WIM, and Data Collection/Workforce Data Manager. Interfaces moved inbound employee records and active address data from Oracle HRMS into the timekeeping environment, delivered termination data into PeopleSoft, populated carryover balances into Kronos interface tables from Oracle, and exported payroll hours and wage data into SAP Payroll files, with a database view created to calculate and register total annual hours in Oracle. Operational scope and governance included ongoing production support, device management and clock communications via DCM and WDM, patch management, and a train the trainer program for division payroll staff to stabilize operations. The project partnered closely with HR, Payroll, stores, management, and Kronos administrators to refine work and pay policies, reduce timekeeping issues, and improve interface reliability. Explicit outcomes recorded in project activities included resolution of missing accruals and accrual mismatches through data fixes, implementation of a balancing process to reconcile pay code and hours totals between Kronos and SAP Payroll to reduce payroll errors, and increased confidence in the new timekeeping system through sustained support and governance. UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager thereby served as TJX Companies Absence and Leave Management platform supporting HR and Payroll business functions.

In 2018, TJX Companies implemented Oracle Lease and Finance Management for its US store operations including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Home Goods. The work targeted Lease Management capabilities as part of TJX's global R12 Oracle Financials upgrade program, R12.2.6.
