In 2021, 3 Points Aviation implemented Quantum Control ERP as its Aviation ERP to centralize maintenance and parts workflows for the Mississauga based company. Quantum Control ERP was adopted to provide core MRO and parts management capabilities aligned with the Aviation ERP category and to support engineering and sales operational needs across the organization.
The deployment emphasized work order management and parts master data, with day to day activities including maintenance, update and input of ERP data and work orders. Configuration work focused on inventory control, sales order processing, bill of materials and engineering data management, with engineering activities feeding parts and BOM information into Quantum Control ERP after 3D scan conversion.
Engineering workflows used Geomagic and SolidWorks to convert 3D scan point clouds into 3D models that informed part definitions and documentation in Quantum Control ERP. The implementation explicitly integrated Office 365 for document management, meeting agendas and minutes distribution, and for recording project and work order information, while AD and SDR searches were performed as part of project scoping and regulatory traceability processes.
Operational coverage centered on engineering and sales departments at the Mississauga site, with the Engineering and Sales Assistant role assigned responsibility for ongoing data governance tasks, work order recording and project coordination. Governance changes focused on formalizing data entry procedures, document capture into Office 365 linked to ERP records, and standardized workflows for converting engineering outputs into structured ERP records.
