In 2019, 3Degrees Group UK implemented activpayroll as its Payroll solution. The deployment targeted payroll operations for 330+ employees across multiple EMEA countries, processing more than 12,600 payslips annually, and supported the company as it expanded into APAC where a PEO was engaged for Singapore while activpayroll managed payroll for the other jurisdictions.
Prior to adopting activpayroll, 3Degrees relied on a different HRIS that lacked global payments capability, which created multiple pay dates and disparate payroll providers. The activpayroll implementation delivered centralized global payments, consistent payroll schedules, and a single platform for payslips and benefits access, with the project beginning in June and the HR system go live in August 2019.
The deployment included a formal integration with UKG to align HR and payroll data, enabling a single version of the truth for payroll and HR records. activpayroll worked directly with local contacts in each country to resolve compliance and setup issues, removing the need for 3Degrees to engage local attorneys or translators during the rollout and stabilization period.
Operational governance was reorganized so payroll processing remained with accounting while the Associate Director of People Operations retained escalation ownership for accuracy and employee queries. The centralised payroll schedule and reduced manual handoffs improved internal workflow, and adding an HR business partner in London accelerated response times across time zones.
The implementation of activpayroll produced explicit outcomes for 3Degrees, including correction of non compliant country setups and avoidance of potential regulatory fines, elimination of one and a half full time equivalent roles, and an annualized cost saving of $100,000. activpayroll provided ongoing payroll compliance expertise and a unified Payroll platform that reduced administrative overhead and improved pay accuracy and timeliness for employees.
