In 2017 A+ Derr Heating & Cooling implemented Sage Intacct as its ERP Financial system to centralize accounting and finance operations that support both its manufacturing and service business units in the tri-state area. The rollout prioritized control of month-end close, balance sheet and P and L reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting under the Controller function.
The implementation configured core financial capabilities in Sage Intacct including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, fixed asset accounting, revenue posting and inventory accounting workflows to support adjustments, replenishments, and transfers. Sage Intacct was used to capture and post weekly payroll journal entries with assistance from the local payroll team, and to support preparation of monthly and annual sales tax returns and journal entries required for routine financial operations.
Operational coverage extended across the accounting and finance organization, the general manager and business unit leaders for budgeting and variance analysis, and the administrative and field service teams that handle receipts of goods and revenue collections. Integration points were primarily process level and operational handoffs, for example reconciled payroll entries with the local payroll team and coordination with operations for inventory posting and relief.
Governance and process responsibilities were explicitly assigned to the Controller role, including leading the month-end close process, preparing reconciliations, overseeing bank reconciliations and cash management, managing budget preparation and variance explanations, and designing internal controls for continuous improvement. The implementation supported mentoring and training of accounting and administrative staff to embed the new ERP Financial workflows into day to day operations.

In 2021, A+ Derr Heating & Cooling deployed CallRail Call Tracking on its website. The deployment uses CallRail Call Tracking within the Call Tracking and Recording category to instrument web-to-phone lead capture for the company’s service and sales channels.
Implementation focused on embedding CallRail tracking scripts and provisioning trackable phone numbers for digital channels, enabling dynamic number insertion and session-level association of calls with website visits. Functional capabilities implemented include call logs, call recording, timestamped call metadata, and attribution fields that align phone interactions with marketing touchpoints, and CallRail Call Tracking was configured to surface caller data and call events for operational use.
Operationally the system feeds phone interaction data into marketing and sales workflows to support lead qualification and inbound service requests for customer-facing teams. Governance emphasis included process definitions for call handling, call recording consent, and retention of call records, with configuration and number management centralized in the CallRail console and website asset management.
