In 2014 Ability Enterprises implemented Tanda Rostering and Attendance as its Time and Attendance solution to support rostering and payroll operations for contracted waste management gatehouse services. The rollout aligned with the organisation's contract to Toowoomba Regional Council and covered shift scheduling and attendance for staff working at the 14 TRC Waste Management Facilities, supporting rostering activity across seven days a week.
The deployment centered on rostering and attendance capabilities, including creation of staff rosters, automated timesheet generation from schedules, leave request and approval workflows, and shift coverage management for absence due to leave or illness. Tanda Rostering and Attendance was used to maintain staff availability records and a training register, and to support administrative tasks such as creating personnel files and calculating leave entitlements.
Integrations were configured with Xero for payroll and financial bookkeeping, and the operational payroll process included creating ABA files for payment processing through the organisation's financial institution. The Office Administrator role operated as the primary system user from August 2014 to September 2019, performing end to end tasks that linked rostering, timesheet approval, ABA file creation, and wage generation through the bank.
Governance and operational processes were formalised around weekly rostering cycles, timesheet and leave approvals, and training compliance recording, with the system supporting cross functional workflows spanning HR administration, payroll processing, accounts receivable and payable, and site operations across the 14 facilities. Ongoing administrative tasks included staff onboarding into Tanda, maintaining training records and liaising with external training organisations to schedule and track mandatory training.
