Epicor Legacy Epicor CMS Manufacturing ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, ABLE Manufacturing and Assembly implemented Epicor CMS, an Automotive ERP, to centralize manufacturing, inventory and financial operations. The selection process prioritized full functional integration across EDI, MRP and financials, with an explicit emphasis on barcode scanning and inventory tracking capabilities that ultimately drove the choice of Epicor CMS. Configuration of Epicor CMS focused on MRP-driven production scheduling and materials planning, integrated financial posting and accounts workflows, and barcode-enabled inventory transactions to support real-time stock visibility. The Epicor CMS implementation included EDI capabilities to connect trading partners and automated material demand signals, and barcode scanning was configured to streamline shop floor transaction capture and warehouse putaway and picking processes. Operational scope covered the factory shop floor and the specialty truck-cab production line, extending to purchasing, inventory/warehouse operations, production control and finance. Epicor CMS was used as the core Automotive ERP system to orchestrate order management, material flow and financial reconciliation across those business functions, aligning transaction flows from shop floor scans to general ledger entries. Governance and rollout aligned system configuration with production process changes for the truck-cab segment, and system adoption coincided with a ramp in specialty truck-cab manufacturing. As Schwarz states, "We simply could not function as the business we are today without Epicor CMS, it is integral to our operations," and implementation of Epicor CMS enabled the company to scale from building one to two cabs a day to managing 30 cabs in one day.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft 365 Collaboration Collaboration n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, ABLE Manufacturing and Assembly deployed Microsoft 365. ABLE Manufacturing and Assembly implemented Microsoft 365 as a Collaboration platform to centralize email, document collaboration, and synchronous communication across its manufacturing, engineering, and back-office functions. The Microsoft 365 implementation aggregated standard Collaboration capabilities, using Exchange Online for corporate email, SharePoint Online for document libraries and intranet content management, Microsoft Teams for real-time collaboration and meetings, and OneDrive for user file sync. Configuration centered on a cloud-hosted Microsoft 365 tenant model with Azure Active Directory identity services for account and group provisioning, license assignment, and centralized policy enforcement. Operational coverage focused on production coordination, engineering document control, procurement and administrative workflows, with the company website indicating active use of Microsoft 365. The deployment supported typical Collaboration functional processes such as team channels, document versioning and co-authoring, and centralized mail routing for corporate communications. Governance was implemented through tenant-level administrative roles, group-based license management, and platform controls for sharing and retention policies. Rollout emphasized staged user onboarding and role-based access to collaboration sites and Teams, with IT-led provisioning and policy configuration to manage access and compliance within the Microsoft 365 environment.
