In 2021, ABM Electrical deployed OGL Profit4 as its ERP Financial application to address operational constraints and support planned business growth. ABM Electrical is a UK electrical distributor with 45 employees and a product catalog exceeding 23,000 items, serving both B2B and B2C channels, and the implementation was driven by Commercial Director Mark Ashworth after a market review of ERP options.
The deployment configured core modules within OGL Profit4 including stock control management, order management, finance and accounting, and trade counter functionality. Implementation work focused on standardizing inventory records, automating order-to-invoice workflows, and formalizing trade counter transactions to reduce manual processing and invoicing complexity identified in the organization.
Operational coverage concentrated on back-office finance, warehouse stock control, sales order processing, and the on-site trade counter, aligning system workflows with existing commercial and operational roles. Governance was retained internally with leadership from the commercial function, and process changes emphasized centralized stock control and consistent invoicing procedures across departments.
The project objective was to provision OGL Profit4 to relieve manual task burden and provide a scalable ERP Financial backbone to support ABM Electricals future growth plans, while aligning order management and finance processes under a single application.
