In 2014, Accela implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial platform to consolidate finance systems and provide a single, cloud-based financial management backbone. The implementation was led from the Finance Operations Manager (Systems) role and covered requirements gathering through configuration, testing, and end-user training, with formal coordination between NetSuite Professional Services and cross-functional Accela teams.
The deployment centered on NetSuite One World functionality within Oracle NetSuite ERP, configured to support core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany processing and multi-entity accounting capabilities consistent with One World. The implementation was extended with SuiteScript customizations, Web Services and RESTLet endpoints to support automation, scripted business logic and bespoke data transformations inside the financial application.
Accela integrated Oracle NetSuite ERP with its sales and planning ecosystem, connecting NetSuite to Salesforce and Adaptive Planning using InformaticaCloud for the Salesforce integration, and leveraging the NetSuite API surface for Adaptive Planning connectivity. The integration architecture combined native NetSuite integration tools with InformaticaCloud and custom RESTLet/Web Services interfaces to synchronize customer, opportunity and financial planning data between systems, creating an operational link between finance, revenue and planning functions.
Operational ownership and governance were structured through the finance systems function, with the Finance Operations Manager acting as liaison between NetSuite Professional Services and internal stakeholders. The rollout included structured testing cycles, role-based training for finance staff, and ongoing enhancement work managed as a combination of SuiteScript development and API-driven integrations to support Accela's cloud-first finance operating model.

In 2014 Accela implemented Oracle Netsuite OpenAir as its Professional Services Automation platform. The deployment centered on semi monthly expense report processing, with Oracle Netsuite OpenAir used to review and process all employee expense reports on a regular pay cycle.
The implementation emphasized expense management and time and expense workflows common to Professional Services Automation, with configuration for approval routing, expense audit controls, and reimbursement batching. Oracle Netsuite OpenAir was used to centralize expense submissions and to generate expense data that feeds accounts payable workflows.
Integrations were explicit and operational, Oracle Netsuite OpenAir was operated alongside ADP WorkforceNow for payroll, and expense processing was coordinated with the accounts payable team to submit ACH files for employee reimbursements. Operational coverage included semi monthly cycles covering US payroll and expense populations referenced in the payroll function, as well as expense handling for international staff.
Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, including continual auditing of payroll and expense data, establishment of short and long term processes for departmental continuous improvement, and cross functional coordination between payroll, AP, and finance.
