The deployment targeted the Billing & Reimbursement Commercial Billing Team and Pre Authorization Representatives, including staff operating out of Memphis, Tennessee, to centralize claims submission and payer communication workflows. The implementation emphasized electronic claims submission, rejection management, payer remittance lookup, and preauthorization processing. Change Healthcare Emdeon ExpressBill was configured to handle pharmaceutical billing both as paper and electronic claims, and to interface with Emdeon Vision, Novologix, Availity, and Navinet for claims routing and status inquiries, with remittance reference via Emdeon and US Bank Payment Consolidator, and patient account coordination with RX Home. Operational governance formalized standardized rejection resolution and coordinated preauthorization workflows, with staff contacting provider offices and payors and transmitting authorization information electronically.
