In 2023, Accuweb Hosting implemented Virtuozzo Application Platform in the Servers, Storage and Networking category to construct AccuWeb.Cloud, a developer-first, multi-datacenter platform spanning the USA, Germany and India. The deployment used Virtuozzo to provision a PaaS layer tailored for developer workflows and automated infrastructure provisioning across multiple data centers.
Virtuozzo Application Platform was configured to enable automated container-native app deployment, developer self-service provisioning, and pay-as-you-use billing for consumption-based pricing. The implementation centered on container-native orchestration and platform automation, delivering application deployment pipelines and billing/usage metering that support a developer-first consumption model.
Operationally the PaaS and infrastructure implementation impacted cloud operations, platform engineering and billing operations by centralizing deployment and consumption workflows across sites in the USA, Germany and India. According to the vendor case study the PaaS/infrastructure implementation delivered approximately 50% reduction in operational and infrastructure costs and faster time-to-market.
