In 2013, Ace Hi Plumbing & Heating implemented Epicor Eclipse as its Distribution ERP to centralize order capture, inventory replenishment, shipping, and daily accounting workflows. The deployment used the Eclipse computer program for frontline order entry and order pick-up orchestration, establishing a single operational system to manage incoming customer orders and fulfillment tasks across the company. The scope covered sales order processing, warehouse picking and packing, procurement coordination between stores, shipping and receiving, driver manifesting, and end of day financial processing.
Epicor Eclipse was configured to support core Distribution ERP modules including order management, inventory control and replenishment, inter-store transfer processing, receiving and shipping transaction handling, and financial posting for daily accounting. Order workflows were implemented to pull orders into pick queues for in-store pick-up, and inventory replenishment routines were used to procure items from other stores to maintain stock levels and fulfill inter-store transfers. Manifesting capabilities were applied to generate delivery routes and driver manifests to sequence deliveries and record shipment completions.
Operational coverage included the sales and order desk, warehouse and shipping teams, procurement coordination between store locations, driver delivery operations, and accounting staff responsible for daily reconciliations and bank deposits. Epicor Eclipse served as the transactional system of record for procure-to-stock and order-to-cash processes, with in-application workflows driving pick-up fulfillment, transfer requests, receiving receipts, and shipping manifests. Financial transactions from daily activity were posted through Eclipse to support accounting tasks and deposit preparation by the finance team.
Governance focused on process standardization across order entry, inter-store procurement, and shipping manifesting, with operational procedures to ensure stores could both request inventory and fulfill transfers through the same Distribution ERP. Day end procedures routed accounting activity for reconciliation and deposit preparation, preserving a consistent operational cadence between warehouse, delivery, and finance functions. Epicor Eclipse was the central application enabling these coordinated operational and financial workflows.
