In 2019, ACM Services deployed Nanonets Invoice Automation to automate accounts payable workflows, classified under AP Automation and scoped to the company accounting function at the 50 employee professional services firm. The deployment targeted invoice extraction, data validation, and CSV delivery to the firm’s accounting system as the primary automation objectives.
Nanonets Invoice Automation was configured using the Pre-trained Invoice Extractor and the platform s AI training feature to capture both standard invoice fields and additional custom fields required by ACM Services. The customer performed a Pro trial to prototype extraction rules, and Nanonets automation consultants provided iterative model training and configuration assistance to expand field capture capabilities beyond out of the box extraction.
Integration work centered on connecting Nanonets to Foundation Construction Accounting Software, addressing two integration constraints identified by the customer. First, Nanonets implemented a GL Code Vendor Master lookup using a vendor master CSV, enabling automatic population of GL codes when those codes were not present on the invoice. Second, Nanonets delivered a customized CSV export formatted to Foundation s rigid ingestion schema, producing Foundation compatible CSV files directly from the Nanonets platform for downstream import.
Rollout involved iterative testing with the customer, handoff of trained models and export templates to AP staff, and ongoing support from Nanonets automation consultants during initial operational use. According to customer feedback from Ryan Hess, the implementation saved a ton of time on accounts payable and relied on persistent vendor support to reach a working integration with Foundation Construction Accounting Software.

Vendor - GL Code matching was configured to map vendor identifiers to general ledger codes, and captured invoice information was exported into a CSV format compatible with Foundation Software and ready for ingest into Foundation ERP.
Operational coverage centered on accounts payable, finance, and vendor management, enabling an automated Invoice Automation workflow within Foundation ERP. Data flows were structured to produce CSV exports that aligned vendor, invoice, and GL code fields for batch import and ledger posting in Foundation ERP.
Governance shifted to rule based matching and CSV import controls, standardizing AP approval and posting processes while reducing manual data entry. The quick turnaround time of invoice extraction led to a large reduction in invoice processing costs, and by paying invoices early ACM Services was able to avail vendor discounts which improved Net Profit and supported a happier work environment.
