Infor Legacy Infor SunSystems ERP Financial ERP n/a 2011 2011
In 2011, ActionAid Ethiopia deployed Infor SunSystems as its core ERP Financial application to centralize accounting for headquarters and field operations. The deployment supported financial workflows for the head office and 15 Development Areas, capturing an annual transaction volume of about 140 million Birr and handling income streams from sponsorships and donor funded projects. The Infor SunSystems implementation was configured with standard ERP Financial capabilities including a segmented chart of accounts, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, budgeting, and project and grant accounting to track donor restricted funds. Configuration emphasized project level ledger entries and grant finance controls to enable transaction tagging by Development Area and by sponsored project. Operationally the system was provisioned as a centralized instance that aggregates transactional data from decentralized field offices, supporting centralized month end consolidation and sponsor reporting workflows. The configuration oriented data capture and posting processes to bring accounting activity from 15 Development Areas into Infor SunSystems for unified processing and financial close. Governance for the rollout and ongoing operation aligned finance and operations functions under central finance leadership, with the operation finance coordinator, senior grant finance officer, ICT coordinator and transport officer designated as primary operational and control owners. Process changes focused on standardized account structures, grant approval controls and consolidated reporting procedures to ensure consistent financial governance across sites.
