In 2019 Active Ride Shop implemented Epicor ERP as its ERP Financial application. The deployment at the corporate office in Chatsworth, California established Epicor ERP as the primary transactional source for finance and operational reporting across the retailer.
The implementation focused on core ERP Financial capabilities, with configuration work oriented toward general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows to support month end and ad hoc financial reporting. Financial reporting and forecasting workflows were extended to support sales projections and payroll forecasting activities, reflecting the finance function and executive planning needs.
Operational architecture initially included a pipeline from Epicor ERP through a custom ETL into QlikView, backed by a managed data warehouse. A Business Analyst reverse engineered the existing Epicor ERP to custom ETL to QlikView flow, validated warehouse data and corrected variance-causing errors, automated daily operational reports via SSRS, and overhauled the ETL and warehouse design. The team replaced the QlikView front end with a governed Power BI dataset, defined canonical metrics in DAX and linked the Power BI dataset to Excel pivot table workbooks used by multiple departments.
Governance and runbook work included documenting report generation processes, training a successor analyst on execution, and embedding data validation controls to reduce reporting variance. The effort also supported ad hoc financial analyses including cost-benefit modeling for potential store closures, and included an explicit initiative to replace QlikView with Power BI to reduce costs.

In 2016, Active Ride Shop deployed Aptos One in the cloud to support the company’s next chapter of growth in the Retail category and to underpin its multi-channel customer experience strategy. The Aptos One deployment used a cloud engagement model to accelerate speed-to-market and centralize core retail operations across physical stores, eCommerce, and event pop-up locations.
The implementation configured Aptos Store and Mobile Store as the Point of Sale layer, alongside Aptos Merchandising, Aptos CRM, and Aptos Sales Audit as integrated functional modules. Aptos Store and Mobile Store provided in-store transaction processing and mobile-assisted selling workflows, Aptos Merchandising delivered order, pricing, assortment, and distribution capabilities for inventory accuracy, Aptos CRM enabled customer identification, profiling, segmentation and personalized engagement, and Aptos Sales Audit consolidated sales validation and audit activities.
Operational coverage extended to Active Ride Shop’s 29 store footprint in Southern California, its eCommerce presence, and temporary retail at sponsored and community events, creating a singular commerce experience across channels. Sales Audit and the cloud-hosted platform consolidated transactions and retail reporting across all stores and channels, supporting consistent customer experiences wherever customers engage the brand.
Governance followed a cloud-first rollout pattern emphasizing speed-to-market and ongoing configuration through centralized merchandising and CRM controls, while Sales Audit streamlined validation of Point of Sale data to support retail financial controls. The cloud Aptos One implementation helped Active Ride Shop serve customers more efficiently and deliver a consistent, multi-channel experience as part of its plan to expand retail footprint and execute its growth strategy.
