In 2011, Adestra implemented Sketchfab 3D Asset Management to deliver interactive 3D content on its public website. Adestra implemented Sketchfab 3D Asset Management as a Digital Asset Management capability supporting web-based marketing and product visualization on the company site.
The deployment uses Sketchfab as a cloud hosted asset repository and embeddable 3D viewer, providing hosted model storage, WebGL rendering for in browser interactivity, and metadata and tagging to categorize assets. Functional capabilities observed include embeddable viewer configuration, asset publishing for public web delivery, and administrative controls for asset visibility and basic access management consistent with Digital Asset Management workflows.
Operational ownership is concentrated in Adestra marketing and creative teams who manage the model library and publish assets to the website using Sketchfab embed artifacts and viewer configuration. The implementation links the company, Sketchfab 3D Asset Management, and Digital Asset Management to the business functions of website content and customer facing marketing experiences, with a cloud first architecture that minimizes on premise infrastructure requirements.
