In 2018 ADRIATIC insurance deployed an In-House Policy Management application to centralize core policy administration functions across its Croatia operations, aligning the implementation to Insurance Policy Administration requirements for underwriting, issuance, and lifecycle control. The implementation was scoped to support underwriting, policy administration, customer service, and claims intake workflows, with deployment organized as a modular in-house platform to reduce siloed policy data and unify policy records across business units.
The In-House Policy Management solution implemented standard Insurance Policy Administration capabilities including policy creation, endorsements, renewals, product configuration, rating engines, and lifecycle tracking, augmented by embedded analytical modules. The implementation included a Neo policy creation application interface with a special emphasis on predicting policyholder churn and analytics-driven policy issuance controls, and it surfaced configuration tools for product managers to manage coverages and premium tables.
Integrations were executed through internal APIs to the firm s claims processing program, with the claims program emphasizing fraud prediction models that consume policy attributes for alerting and case prioritization. The platform exchanged policy and billing status with customer service channels and internal billing systems, and it exposed policy records for downstream reporting and compliance processes to maintain end to end operational continuity.
Governance centered on a centralized policy administration team responsible for configuration management, product governance, and staged rollouts to underwriting and service users, with change control for rating and product updates. Operational workflows were restructured to route endorsements and renewals through the In-House Policy Management system, and analytic controls for churn prediction and fraud detection were embedded into workflow orchestration rather than treated as separate manual checks.
