In 2016 Aeroklas Australia implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial backbone, replacing Microsoft Dynamics SL to centralize finance and operational ledgers. The deployment targeted manufacturing and distribution processes and was positioned to support finance, supply chain and production planning across the business.
The implementation configured core Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations modules including Warehouse Management, Sales and Marketing, Master Planning, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Procurement and Sourcing, Products Information Management, Data Management and Organization Administration. Work included system configuration changes, modification design and solutions consulting to align standard functional workflows with Aeroklas Australia business rules and manufacturing requirements.
Integration work connected Magento ecommerce into Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations using OData calls and WebApps, and incorporated payment gateway and freight integrations with transactional posting back into Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations for settlements and order posting. A point of sale system design and integration was delivered to feed sales transactions into Finance and Operations, while Azure SQL Servers and Azure development systems hosted the application database and development environments. Basic Power BI reporting was developed to surface operational data from Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.
Project management of all developments was managed internally by the Dynamics 365 F&O consultant role, which included managing Lifecycle Services and the DevOps platforms, and overseeing all data migrations into Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Training deliverables were produced including documentation and training videos to support adoption across supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, procurement and sales teams. Technical support and ongoing system administration responsibilities were part of the operating model.
All data migration activity, creation of scope of work documentation for modifications and ongoing technical support were explicit components of the engagement, with managed LCS and DevOps governance used to coordinate builds, testing and releases. The configuration and integrations established Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the central ERP Financial system supporting Aeroklas Australia finance and operational functions.
