In 2018 AFFIN Group implemented Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS as its Core HR application. The deployment targeted HR operations supporting Affin Bank Berhad in Kuala Lumpur, formalizing HR Data Management, HR Services, and Talent Acquisition workflows into a single Core HR platform.
The implementation configured employee master data and job data workflows, including annual increment updates and new hire data entry, with new hires keyed into iHRMS ORACLE as part of onboarding. Talent acquisition was implemented as an end to end recruitment workflow, and HR Services were configured to handle medical and dental claims, panel clinic billing processing, monthly medication requests, SOCSO claim handling and preparation of related documents such as prolonged illness papers and guarantee letters.
Operational integrations centered on transactional handoffs to the Finance Department for clinic and specialist hospital payments through a BCA balancing submission process, and regulatory screening workflows to respond to Bank Negara information requests within 15 working days. Governance and data controls were implemented around personal file management, audit-ready documentation, and internal databases for sick leave, absence, transfers and resignations to support compliance and routine HR case management.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Flexcube | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2005 | 2006 |
In 2005, AFFIN Group implemented Oracle Flexcube as its Core Banking platform to centralize retail and corporate transaction processing across its banking operations. The implementation of Oracle Flexcube addressed core banking functions and established a single application foundation for account lifecycle management and transaction posting.
The deployment encompassed standard Core Banking modules typical for Oracle Flexcube, including deposit and loan servicing, general ledger posting, teller and branch processing, customer information management, and payments orchestration. Configuration work emphasized core product parameterization, product catalog setup, account validation rules, and batch posting controls to align banking products with AFFIN Group operational policies.
Project activities covered an initial production implementation followed by structured upgrades and migration efforts, reflecting the organization of release windows and data migration cutover sequences. Operational scope focused on bank back office and branch channel processing within AFFIN Group in Malaysia, with governance tied to change control for configuration, data reconciliation routines, and transaction integrity checks.
Rollout governance and delivery drew on implementation and upgrade experience with the Oracle Flexcube product at multiple financial institutions, including Affin Bank Berhad, Barclays UAE, Janalakshmi Micro Finance JFS India, SEB Lithuania, Jilin Bank China, HDFC Bank India, Ghana Commercial Bank, and Zambia National Commercial Bank. Governance provisions emphasized staged cutovers, environment promotion policies, and runbook driven handover to operations to maintain transactional continuity for core banking functions.
