In 2020, Aimtron implemented Epicor Kinetic as its Manufacturing ERP to unify operations across its U.S. and India legal entities and support growth in PCBA manufacturing. The deployment established a single database architecture that delivers real time data visibility to the U.S. office and supports 15 concurrent users across merchandising, procurement, production, quality, dispatch, and finance.
Epicor Kinetic was configured to support core manufacturing and supply chain workflows, including material planning, inventory management, purchasing, production planning, quality cost control, dispatch tracking, and export documentation. The implementation leveraged Epicor Kinetic forms, alerting, workflow automation, reporting, and built in training modules and knowledge databases to standardize processes and accelerate user onboarding.
The project integrated many in house applications that capture shop floor and transactional data, enabling those sources to feed Epicor Kinetic forms and reports for consolidated operational reporting. Aimtron also tied its parent company instance into the environment by adopting the same Epicor Kinetic platform, which simplified cross entity data integration and sped acquisition onboarding. Lead times and supplier delivery information were stored in the system to improve planning and visibility across geographically distributed sites.
Aimtron worked with CorporateServe Solutions as an authorized channel partner for configuration, implementation, and training, and established governance to centralize approvals and document access across time zones. The rollout emphasized process standardization for acquisitions and enabled a repeatable integration path aimed at bringing newly acquired businesses onto the group system within 30 to 45 days.
The implementation produced explicit operational outcomes documented by Aimtron, including a 23 percent reduction in production staffing costs and more than seven percent reduction in inventory costs, along with improved decision making for material planning, inventory control, purchasing, and customer follow up. Epicor Kinetic has also increased transparency for compliance areas such as global item numbering and RoHS related controls through consolidated data and standardized workflows.
