In 2017 Air Lease implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to establish an ERP Financial backbone for core accounting and procurement processes. The deployment targeted consolidation of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Purchasing into a single cloud ERP Financial application, aligning transactional finance and procurement workflows under NetSuite.
The implementation included NetSuite Inventory and Purchasing configuration to support inventory valuation and purchase order lifecycle, and NetSuite General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets configurations for financial close and asset accounting. Automation and document-centric workflows were surfaced through Nintex workflows and HotDocs integrations to reduce manual steps around contracts and document generation.
Integrations were implemented with iManage for document management and LeasePoint for contract and asset management, with SharePoint Online and Office 365 used for collaboration and content storage. Reporting and analytics were provisioned through Power BI, while a SQL database and Web Services were used for programmatic data exchange and system-to-system connectivity between NetSuite and adjacent enterprise applications.
Governance and operational ownership were established within Air Lease IT, with the Assistant Vice President, Business Systems leading design, development, and ongoing support activities. Project management, vendor management, business analysis, and IT support functions were embedded into the rollout and sustainment model, and operational coverage spanned finance, procurement, inventory management, and contract administration teams.
