In 2016, AKITA Drilling implemented HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to manage field equipment and engineering assets. The application was later administered and managed by a Systems Training Manager who supported INFOR EAM administration, data management, and end user training during a remote assignment from September 2018 to December 2019.
HxGN EAM (Ex. Infor EAM) was configured to support core asset management capabilities, including asset certification tracking to maintain operating days and schedule timely renewals, asset lifecycle tracking to add, retire, and document material transfers, and downtime and preventive maintenance reporting. Configuration and administrative responsibilities emphasized data integrity, certification schedules, and PM reporting workflows.
Operational coverage and integrations included linkage to ReQlogic for procurement workflows and the Akita Intranet Portal for internal access and documentation, with LogMeIn remote access used for direct technical support to operations personnel. The system supported the Engineering department for upgrades and re-certifications and served as the primary point of contact platform for operations and field staff requiring system assistance.
Governance centered on an administrator-led model where the Systems Training Manager owned training, support, asset data governance, and coordination of certification renewals. Day-to-day operational processes were reshaped to ensure asset certifications and operating days were maintained in the system for timely renewals, while ongoing training and remote support were used to embed the application into engineering and operations workflows.
