In 2014, Al Khaliji Bank implemented Temenos T24. Temenos T24 is a Core Banking application that was provisioned to support the bank's IT Operations and core processing functions, with Validata Group engaged as the implementation partner. The implementation covered explicit operational modules including user lifecycle management, identity and access management, user administration, application administration, installation of BCONs and core update fixes, and running end of day and close of business processes. The deployment also included administration of the Temenos Insight reporting system and ongoing banking applications administration tasks such as ECC cheque clearing oversight. Integration and infrastructure responsibilities were extensive, spanning SWIFT 7.2 SAG, SWP, SAA and SNL administration, card systems, SMS gateway administration, AML and KYC system administration, and POS ecosystem support. The POS scope included encryption key generation and injection, terminal management, Intellinac hardware configuration, and onboarding of Hypercom and spire terminals. The infrastructure stack supporting Temenos T24 administration included Windows Server 2012 installation and configuration, VMware administration, Citrix and Active Directory administration, DHCP and DNS management, NetBackup and McAfee and Kaspersky antivirus administration, and McAfee Email Gateway management. Governance and operational process workstreams focused on improving IT operational processes and policies, implementing and maintaining IT security access controls as directed by IT security policy, ensuring authorized users have appropriate rights, and addressing specific access controls in response to audit actions. The IT Operations team retained responsibility to manage day to day operations and monitoring of business systems, assist infrastructure deployment projects through planning, implementation and transition to operations, and continue server administration and consolidation once the Temenos T24 application entered production.
