Infor Legacy Infor SunSystems ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Allianz Malaysia implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment focused on core finance and accounting operations within Allianz Malaysia Berhad and ALIM related entities, with finance teams in Kuala Lumpur operating the system to support routine accounting and control workflows. The implementation emphasis was on steady state operational use rather than project scale expansion during the period covered. Infor SunSystems was used for general ledger processing via SunGL, intercompany billing and settlement, related party invoicing, balance sheet reconciliation, and posting of journal entries including accruals. The configuration supported recurring monthly processes such as AMB intercompany billing, ALIM related party invoice generation, staff loan listings and other debtors tracking, and produced finance reports including journal listing and account listing directly from the SunGL system. Functional capabilities in practice included general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation workflows, and reporting for operational finance. Operational coverage included monthly intercompany reconciliation and raising payments for AMB intercompany settlement and ad hoc payments, management of daily reservation fund activities to policyholders, and preparation of staff loan statements and other debtor listings. Month end closing activities and sundry debtors and sundry creditors postings were executed within Infor SunSystems as part of the regular accounting cycle. Users relied on the system for both transactional processing and period reporting. Governance and process responsibilities were embedded in finance operations, with defined ownership for balance sheet reconciliation, identification and tracking of outstanding items, monitoring of payment timelines to ensure compliance with company policy, and routine filing and housekeeping tasks. Day to day responsibilities included monitoring payments, resolving outstanding balance sheet issues, and ensuring finance reports were produced from Infor SunSystems as part of the controlled accounting process.
