In 2008 Alma Group implemented OS1 ERP from Open Source Italia. The deployment targeted ERP Financial functions across the company's Milan manufacturing operations and the central finance team. OS1 ERP provided core ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cost accounting, configured to support monthly production cost reporting. Configuration emphasized financial posting rules, chart of accounts alignment to manufacturing cost centers and workflow controls for invoice approval and month end close processes. The implementation operated alongside existing operational tools, with staff continuing to use OS1 attendance tracking and Pay Aut for attendance and payroll data collection, and processes organized to channel monthly attendance and site hours into financial reporting and production cost analysis. Governance and process changes focused on centralized monthly reporting cycles and strengthened collaboration between finance, the payroll office and the technical office for accurate recording of attendance, sick leave and vacation data used in cost accumulation.
