In 2019, ALPA The Arnhem Land selected ExFlow AX for AP Automation to address persistent manual invoice processing and approval bottlenecks that persisted after a prior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations deployment. ALPA had been manually entering invoices, with every invoice requiring a purchase order for approval and roughly ten percent arriving by postal mail, which created significant delays across finance and downstream business units during a period of operational stress amplified by COVID-19. The organization went live with ExFlow AX in September 2020 across four subsidiaries, then initiated a staged roll-out to the remaining subsidiaries and twelve consulting entities within three months. This phased deployment tied the ExFlow AX implementation directly to the company finance transformation effort and to efforts to better leverage D365 Finance and Operations.
The implementation focused on invoice capture, automated approval routing, PO matching and electronic posting workflows consistent with the AP Automation category, enabling a shift to paperless invoice processing and improved visibility for managers. ExFlow AX was implemented as a Microsoft preferred built-in solution, which supported native integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and allowed invoice metadata and approval statuses to flow into the core ERP for posting and reporting.
