In 2021 Alsimet implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to provision a cloud SaaS ERP Financial solution that would connect its eight branches and enable real-time data exchange, mobility, and continuous updates. The deployment targeted core business management functions to reduce paper dependence and shorten administrative cycles while providing a single, continuously updated cloud platform. The implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central included data consolidation and a dynamic reporting layer, with explicit integration of the Microsoft Power Platform for analytics and automation. Power BI was integrated to deliver interactive business intelligence and faster report distribution, and Power Automate was used to create workflows aligned with Alsimet value chain processes. Banking and treasury automation was addressed using Banxion developed by Sothis, which compiles bank information across products and accounts into a single database to support financial reconciliation and decision workflows. Operational coverage included finance, distribution, production planning, supply chain visibility, and corporate support teams across the group of branches, with Business Central acting as the central ERP Financial system. As part of the program Alsimet established an internal IT Department to assume support and maintenance responsibilities, improving autonomy for ongoing tuning and follow-up. Sothis acted as the implementation partner, providing development and consulting services and industry-specific customizations required by manufacturing and metals distribution processes. The project involved a notable level of technical complexity due to multiple adaptations and customizations, yet Sothis expertise in SMB Cloud Solutions enabled a rapid rollout, an intuitive user experience with a shortened learning curve, and an increase in speed of decision-making as reported by the customer.
