Quorum Business Solutions Legacy Quorum OGsys On Demand Oil Gas and Chemicals ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2017 2018
In 2017 Alta Resources, LLC implemented Quorum OGsys On Demand as part of its enterprise systems rollout, using the Quorum OGsys On Demand platform within the Oil Gas and Chemicals ERP category to support upstream and midstream business functions. The Quorum OGsys On Demand deployment was one of two ERP implementations completed within two and a half years, the other being Waterfield, and the program accompanied a technical migration tied to a $1.6B asset integration while operating against an annual IT budget of 4.3 million. The implementation focused on core Oil Gas and Chemicals ERP capabilities common to the category, including production accounting, revenue management, joint interest billing, and asset ledgers, configured to align with company financial workflows. Quorum OGsys On Demand was configured alongside a cloud based financial reporting system, OneStream, to centralize reporting and accounting feeds across ERP instances, and standardization efforts included creation of corporate operating system images and endpoint management through Ivanti and ConnectWise. Architecturally the program involved moving and consolidating more than 100 servers to a new data center and operating redundant infrastructure across two data centers plus a regional and a corporate site, backed by Dell SAN storage and an SD WAN design with Cisco VPN failover for network resilience. Identity and messaging integration included Exchange 2013 migration work and ongoing Office365 with Azure internal Active Directory synchronization to support single sign on and user provisioning across ERP and operational systems. Field operations and control systems were preserved and modernized in parallel, with migration, ongoing management, and monitoring of Cygnet SCADA and the roll out of an Ignition SCADA instance to field sites, and implementation of an on premises Lenel security system for physical site control. Governance and operationalization included development and implementation of IT policies for the newly formed company, inter departmental cost allocation procedures, and formalized processes to meet IT audit standards. The rollout encompassed company wide applications support for upstream and midstream functions, field site security installation and monitoring, and standardized operational procedures for deployment and support. Outcomes documented during the program included recognized cost savings in various facets of the IT budget totaling over 400,000 annually, ongoing management of network and storage infrastructure across multiple sites, and consolidated application support across finance, operations, and field control systems, while maintaining compliance and security posture through the new processes and systems.
