Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP IT Convergence 2016 2016
In 2016, AmerCable engaged IT Convergence to refine and stabilize its Oracle E-Business Suite environment in the ERP Financial category, following an initial R12 go-live completed with a different partner. The engagement targeted Oracle E-Business Suite R12 with an emphasis on improving inventory and supply chain visibility for AmerCable’s manufacturing operations, with the project execution supported by IT Convergence’s nearshore development center in Buenos Aires. The implementation work focused on Oracle E-Business Suite R12 modules including Oracle Supply Chain Management R12 and Oracle Inventory Management R12, with customizations that consolidated supply and demand views inside Oracle Inventory R12. IT Convergence delivered extensions that presented supply and demand data alongside Oracle Purchase Order and Discrete Job Description records, added action buttons to run reports, and surfaced detailed planning attributes such as Fixed Quantity, Planning Lead Time, and Processing Lead Time within a single inventory form. Integration work remained within the Oracle R12 landscape, linking inventory screens to purchase order and discrete manufacturing job data to provide a unified transactional view for planners and inventory controllers. The deployment covered AmerCable’s manufacturing and supply chain user community at the project location in El Dorado, Arkansas, and targeted end-user workflows for inventory planning, purchasing, and discrete job management. Governance and operationalization included delivery of step-by-step end-user instructions and transition to a single provider model for ongoing Oracle support, establishing IT Convergence as AmerCable’s long-term development and support partner. As a result, AmerCable’s Oracle E-Business Suite R12 environment was stabilized, inventory outputs were consolidated into a single-view solution, and the company retained nearshore development capacity for continued refinements and support.
