In 2018 the American Psychological Association implemented Healthmonix MIPS Analytics to build and launch the Mental and Behavioral Health Registry QCDR, a national registry to support mental and behavioral health clinicians with MIPS-quality reporting and measure tracking. Healthmonix MIPS Analytics was applied as an Analytics and BI solution to centralize registry reporting, measure specification management, and performance visualization for specialty measures used by APA members across the United States.
The implementation emphasized registry management and reporting capabilities common to Analytics and BI deployments, including a measure library for specialty measures, scheduled performance reporting, dashboarding for clinician and practice-level quality metrics, and data ingestion and submission workflows to support QCDR reporting cycles. Configuration work focused on aligning measure definitions and reporting periods with MIPS requirements, and on provisioning role-based access for clinicians and registry administrators.
Operational scope covered APA members and mental and behavioral health clinicians nationally, with the registry and Healthmonix MIPS Analytics used to enable reporting of specialty measures and to prepare psychologists for MIPS participation in 2019. Governance centered on registry-driven measure stewardship and reporting workflows to ensure consistent specialty measure tracking and clinician reporting readiness.
