In 2017, Amundi implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as an ERP Financial platform to consolidate core finance and procurement capabilities for AMUNDI Asset Management. The engagement was executed with TalanSolutions within the EXL Group serving as the implementation partner, and the project targeted Oracle E-Business Suite R12.
The deployment focused on an R12 migration from E-Business Suite 11i and covered General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchase Order and i-expense modules. Workstreams included data migration for GL, AP, AR, PO and employee expenses, development of functional specifications, translation of business requirements into technical designs, and configuration and customization inside Oracle E-Business Suite.
Technical delivery included development of SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports and XML Publisher artifacts, plus creation of detailed test case scenarios to drive user acceptance testing. The implementation supported finance, procurement and expense reporting workflows for Amundi Asset Management in the Paris area, aligning application configuration with business process requirements.
Governance was organized around a techno-functional consultancy model with a team lead for developers, formal development workflow management and coordinated UAT processes. The engagement timeline ran from September 2017 to January 2020, with the consultant role explicitly bridging functional requirements and technical implementation within Oracle E-Business Suite.

Configuration and operational modules focused on maintaining the ADP Workforce Now database with confidential employee information, including hiring and terminating employees, and updating deduction and taxation information. The implementation included routine data ingestion workflows, where employee information was uploaded through files downloaded from Ultipro, and a complete time entry to payroll sequence driven by eTime, covering employee maintenance, approvals, timecard review and file uploads into ADP Workforce Now Payroll.
Integrations were explicit and transactional, with employee master data exchanged from Ultipro into ADP Workforce Now Payroll, time and attendance data processed from eTime into ADP, and payroll accounting flows exported from ADP into the general ledger in PeopleSoft for month end close. The payroll team also provided periodic output and reconciliations to the treasury department to assist with balancing the payroll bank account, creating cross‑functional touchpoints between Payroll, HR, Finance and Treasury.
Operational governance emphasized controlled employee maintenance workflows, approval gates within the eTime to ADP sequence, and month end close procedures aligning ADP payroll outputs to PeopleSoft ledger entries. Data stewardship practices covered confidential payroll records, taxation and deduction configuration, and recurring upload and reconciliation processes to sustain ongoing Payroll operations.

The implementation delivered an index-level benchmark data feed sized to support up to 3,000 unique commercial index levels and 3,000 unique constituent levels, with Amundi electing to receive all indices daily and intraday updates per region. The configuration included the ability to create and validate custom indices within FactSet Multi-Asset Class Analytics and publish validated indices back to the benchmark data feed. Data scope explicitly covered index-level data, constituent-level data, projected and pro-forma data, and automated intraday refreshes to meet the needs of global portfolio analysis.
FactSet Multi-Asset Class Analytics was integrated with Amundi’s existing use of FactSet portfolio analysis and workstation solutions, enabling direct data feeds into portfolio reporting and analysis workflows. Operational coverage extended across Amundi’s global organization, with support and production continuity for offices including Paris and Tokyo, and a holiday production calendar per index to permit roll forward of constituents on providers’ non-production days. FactSet’s Issue Tracker portal provided interactive, transparent request and production management parallel to the data feed.
Governance was established through standard FactSet quality assurance checks augmented by custom Amundi requests, including weight recalculation and market cap rollup checks, and a help desk model aligned to Amundi workflows. The outcome from Amundi’s perspective included a leaner data management team, resource requirements reduced by roughly half, recognized cost savings, reduced IT follow up due to standardized processes, and broader adoption of FactSet data across front office, compliance, and risk functions for improved alignment and collaboration.
