In 2020, Antonio's Pizzeria implemented FoundU Payroll to centralize Payroll and rostering across its two-store, multi-site operation in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire. The deployment positioned FoundU Payroll as the primary payroll and workforce management application for a team described in the case study as over 30 staff, consolidating scheduling and pay processing into a single account.
The implementation used FoundU’s rostering module alongside contactless, paperless onboarding and timesheet approval capabilities, configuring rosters so they could be split by store and edited on the fly. The FoundU Payroll configuration incorporated automated award selection and programmed pay rate updates, enabling the system to apply compliant rates without manual rate lookup, and leveraged historical roster data to inform future staffing for busy periods and events.
Operationally, rostering, timesheet approval and payroll processing were managed from anywhere, removing the need for store-to-store travel and enabling one account to govern two physical sites. The rollout covered core HR and payroll functions, including new-hire onboarding, shift scheduling, time capture and payroll calculation, with mobile and remote approvals forming the primary operational pattern.
Process governance shifted from a manual workflow based on SMS and paper timesheets to an automated, platform-driven cadence where employees self-complete onboarding and notify time off through the system. As reported in the case study, Kamil reduced weekly payroll processing from about three hours to approximately five minutes, illustrating an outcome attributed to automation, centralized rostering and award-compliant payroll calculation.
