| Onit | Legacy | Onit ContractWorks | Contract Lifecycle Management | Content Management | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Apixio implemented Onit ContractWorks as its Contract Lifecycle Management application to centralize contracting for its professional services business and healthcare oriented SaaS agreements. The implementation positioned Onit ContractWorks as the primary Contract Lifecycle Management system supporting legal, sales, vendor management, HR and compliance functions across the company.
The deployment included a purpose built contract intake flow created from scratch, using a Salesforce based ticketing system with Conga to capture requests and route work. Onit ContractWorks was configured for template based drafting of outbound SaaS agreements and statements of work, clause and template management, automated workflow routing for approvals, and lifecycle tasks such as launching DocuSign envelopes, monitoring pending terminations and renewals, and centralized filing and reporting.
Integrations are explicit and operational, with Salesforce objects synchronized to preserve data integrity across SFDC objects and related CLM tools, ticket orchestration in Conga, and eSignature execution via DocuSign linked to ContractWorks records. Operational coverage included drafting and negotiation of MSAs, NDAs, BAAs, employment contracts, vendor agreements and SOWs, with negotiation of pricing, SLAs and PHI handling for healthcare payer and provider customers.
Governance was formalized through the ticket based intake and approval workflows, with a dedicated Contracts Manager role active from November 2021 to present to enforce data privacy controls and regulatory compliance for HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR and CCPA CPRA. The implementation emphasized process discipline for intake, approvals, renewals and regulatory attestations, with audit oriented filing and reporting maintained inside Onit ContractWorks.
