In 2018, Aplicafarma Farma Aplicada implemented Aspel COI 8.0 as its Accounting System. The deployment centralized core finance and back office functions for a 50 person life sciences company in Mexico, explicitly covering accounting, purchasing, warehouse, sales operations and client and supplier communications. The project emphasized the Aspel COI 8.0 Policy Register to codify accounting policies and to support the monthly accounting closing process.
Configured functional modules include the Aspel COI 8.0 Policy Register, billing and invoicing workflows, inventories management, a daily sales capture process labeled Sales catch of the day, purchase and warehouse assistant capabilities, and quote generation. Operational governance was oriented around monthly close procedures and policy controls, establishing workflow handoffs between accounting, purchases, warehouse and sales teams to manage billing and communications with clients and suppliers. The implementation embedded Aspel COI 8.0 into transactional workflows and recordkeeping to support standard Accounting System capabilities such as automated posting, policy driven entries and retention of audit relevant records.
