In 2001, A&R Carton, now part of AR Packaging Sweden, implemented Radius ERP, an ERP Financial application, at a Finnish plant to manage production, estimating and scheduling across manufacturing operations. The initial go live in 2001 focused on plant-level control and was subsequently expanded across additional European facilities to support just in time deliveries and more accurate raw-material forecasting for the group.
Radius ERP was configured to support core production management, estimating and scheduling functions, with configuration focused on materials planning, inventory control and shop floor scheduling consistent with ERP Financial capabilities. The deployment emphasized standardized workflows for order estimation and production scheduling, aligning estimating outputs with inventory and procurement needs to reduce overordering and material waste.
Operational coverage extended from the original Finnish plant to multiple AR Packaging sites across Europe, embedding Radius ERP into site-level production schedules and procurement workflows. The implementation centralized transactional and forecasting records within Radius ERP to enable consolidated stock forecasting across plants while keeping execution and scheduling at the site level.
Governance and rollout were executed as a phased plant-by-plant expansion, delivering standardized process definitions and common data structures across sites. The rollout delivered standardized workflows, improved stock forecasting and reduced waste across the group’s European operations, as reported in the customer success account.
