In 2017, ARGAS deployed CGG Geovation in its Geology and Seismic Data Processing environment. The CGG Geovation imaging platform was provisioned to support field acquisition teams, workstation users and a regional processing hub across ARGAS operations in Saudi Arabia, establishing a unified processing environment for exploration and reservoir imaging workflows. The implementation focused on imaging and seismic processing capabilities, including iterative imaging, advanced analysis and quality control workflows native to the CGG Geovation platform. CGG Geovation was used as a single solution for field, workstation and regional hub environments to enable efficient, reliable and high quality processing of large and challenging datasets, and to produce best in class processing and imaging results for diverse project types. Operational responsibility rested with ARGAS geophysics and subsurface data processing groups, who standardized processing workflows and operational procedures around the CGG Geovation platform. Rollout established consolidated job handling and dataset staging practices within ARGAS sites to support consistent imaging outcomes, and the deployment was positioned to deliver the stated benefits of improved imaging quality, unified environments and scalable processing for mission critical seismic projects.
