In 2024, Aseel implemented Mozn FOCAL Platform, an AML, Fraud and Compliance application to automate onboarding and strengthen risk controls. Aseel is a Riyadh based FinTech focused on real estate crowd-investing, licensed by the Capital Market Authority FinTech Lab, operating a mobile application with a user base of 200K to 250K and a staff of 120 employees.
The Mozn FOCAL Platform was deployed to centralize AI powered risk and compliance workflows, with configuration focused on automated customer onboarding, Arabic and Latin language name matching, proactive threat detection, and machine assisted risk assessment. Mozn FOCAL Platform’s automated screening and verification capabilities were leveraged to compress manual touchpoints in the onboarding flow, delivering 7.5x faster onboarding and reducing average onboarding time to 40 seconds.
Operational coverage extended across customer onboarding, compliance operations, and front office account activation within Aseel’s mobile application environment in Saudi Arabia. The implementation supported continuous monitoring and real time insights into suspicious entities, enabling compliance teams to prioritize investigations and reduce reliance on human review.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical rollout, with manual checklists and human intensive review steps removed and compliance workflows restructured to route high confidence alerts for automated clearance and route uncertain cases to analysts. The program eliminated manual efforts that previously generated high volumes of checks and introduced machine assisted decisioning to decrease false alerts and human error in day to day compliance operations.
Outcomes reported by Aseel were explicit, including an 87 percent reduction in onboarding time, elimination of manual checking workloads quantified as 14.45K hours saved, and a reported 250 percent increase in customers onboarded. Mozn FOCAL Platform became the focal point for Aseel’s AML, Fraud and Compliance controls and operational scaling.
