Asite is the multi-service company of the Municipality of Fermo, responsible for urban waste collection and sorting, street and beach cleanliness, and management of gas and electricity networks, and it pursued a single accounting system that could reflect the specificities of each service line. The organization also identified a need for a change management system to coordinate adoption across its diverse operational areas. Smeup RDS ERP was configured to consolidate accounting workflows into a single financial backbone while retaining application-specific accounting rules for each service, using standard ERP Financial capabilities such as centralized general ledger processing, subsidiary ledger alignment, and role-based financial workflow controls. Deployment included use of the cloud-hosted option of Smeup RDS ERP and a configuration approach that emphasized flexible chart of accounts mapping and transaction tagging to reflect sector-specific cost and revenue drivers.
